exam tips : orientation experience

Six month ago, i was accepted by teaching collage, Institut Perguruan Tuanku Bainun.

Orientation start right after i register. yes, i kid u not. it is directly! once you register, get your room keys to your room(hostel) and the next thing gather with hundreds of juniors. you do not even realize it is starting!

orientation in my collage is conducted by senior facilitators, and we are divided into groups according to class. each groups has one facilitator.

the day started as early as 5 o'clock in the morning. the muslim go to mosque to do their duty while non-muslim gather in the hall for some moral studies. i do not know if it really help moulding our moral. but really most of us is just to sleep to even pay attention. it is not that we are lazy to wake up in the early in the mrning. but you would be the same too if the activities the day before end at rough 1 a.m and this go through for one week.

there will be endless "taklimat" whole day through just to get us juniors used to the new rule and of course, a total new environment. they are somehow really helpful, but most of the time , almost half of the hall fall in sleep. i somehow wish they are conduct it in a more interactive ways so that it won't be so boring. other times, we are mingle with team mate. fortunatey,i met my best friends in my collage life during that time period.

foods are served six times a day. early morning breakfast, breakfast, lunch, teatime, dinner and supper. in penang, food are all in spicy and its not only spicy but exstreamly spicy! unfortunately i could not put up with it and i have bad diarrher. sometime, i choose to skip ther meals.

even with really short break in bettween, there is no time for me go back my room to take bath or even a nap! my collage dress code is formal so it really did not help at all. imagine wearing formal whole day with all thr stucky-ness of your body?? it is the most uncomfortable thing in the whole world. it feels like heaven when i finally can take bath when the day ends. many people fell sick during orientation and a lot of fainted too.

of course, everything has its pros and cons. there are sometimes i really enjoy during orientation. orientation is basically all juniors gather so you get to make a lot of new friends everybody want to make friend with you and you want to be everybody's friend. you are new, you re freshman and you wanted to have someone with you. there is no assignment, no pleasing lecturers, just do what is told. orientation is innocent.

last but not least, to sum the whole orientation, the facilitator conducted "soul seaching". they will read some sad poem followed by gloomy songs but the main intention is to remind you of your motif there, that if to graduate with a degree and not to dissapointed our parents.

that's all about that i went throught during orientation. i was so hard core. i never really understood the message they wanted to send us throught orientation. six months has passeed, orientation memories stil stay fresh with me. it feels just like yesterday....
